You may cope by isolating yourself and ignoring your own needs.
You might pretend everything is okay and keeping hard emotions inside. You may avoid friends and family because you feel ashamed, sad, or alone. You may push yourselves too hard to do everything right and not asking for help. You may say negative things to yourself like “I’m a bad mom” or “It’s my fault.”
It’s very normal to react this way. But sometimes, these reactions can make you feel more alone and hopeless. Working with a therapist who understands the emotional challenges of pregnancy, motherhood, and infertility can help. Therapy offers a safe space to handle the emotions and build effective ways to manage depression, anxiety, and stress.

Based on our research (see He et al., 2023, He et al., 2022, and He et al., 2021), we believe that effective treatment should be personalized to fit each individual, rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach. People and relationships are complex, and studies state that evidence-based therapies only work for two-thirds of clients.
Unlike therapists who focus on specific methods, we specialize in Integrative Systemic Therapy, drawing from various therapies (e.g., Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness-based strategies, and many more) and scientific knowledge to create a plan that’s tailored to you. After a thorough assessment, we’ll recommend strategies based on our clinical judgment, and if one doesn’t work, we’ll try another until we find what truly fits your needs.

How Does Our Individual Therapy Work?
We offers a supportive space to explore the emotional impact of postpartum depression and infertility. You can process feelings of sadness, anxiety, guilt, or grief, while receiving personalized tools to cope with daily challenges. We can also help you rebuild self-esteem, improve relationships, and develop healthier patterns. Our goal is to help you begin to heal, feel more in control, and regain a sense of hope and balance in your lives.
Sessions typically last 45 minutes, with weekly appointments recommended for optimal progress. Between sessions, we encourage you to practice what you’ve learned at home. The duration of therapy varies—some clients see progress after a few sessions, while others may need more time. Check out the FAQ page for more information.
