Why Couples Therapy?
You may cope by distancing your partner while hurting inside.
You may withdraw, defend yourself, or neglect your needs to avoid conflict, leaving you feeling lonely and stuck in unproductive conversations. These are common reactions in couple interactions.
However, if these patterns persist, it’s important to find a safe space where both you and your partner can truly hear each other, discuss differences, and address concerns.
Studies show that couples therapy improves communication, resolves conflicts, and boosts individual mental health. Therapists can help identify harmful patterns, heal past wounds, and build a foundation of trust, respect, and open communication.

How Can Our Services Help You?
Based on our research (see He et al., 2023, He et al., 2022, and He et al., 2021), we believe that effective treatment should be personalized to fit each individual, rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach. People and relationships are complex, and studies state that evidence-based therapies only work for two-thirds of clients.
Unlike therapists who focus on specific methods, we specialize in Integrative Systemic Therapy, drawing from various therapies (e.g., Emotionally-Focused Couple Therapy, the Gottman Method, and many more) and scientific knowledge to create a plan that’s tailored to you. After a thorough assessment, we’ll recommend strategies based on our clinical judgment, and if one doesn’t work, we’ll try another until we find what truly fits your needs.
